Bruce joined Steers upon the acquisition of Steers C.B. Limited and Stafford Agencies Limited by himself and Allan Kendall in October 2006. Most recently before Steers, Bruce worked as an advisor for 13 years with Ernst & Young International, working in mergers & acquisitions, corporate strategy, sales & marketing and operational restructuring. Bruce has a professional accounting designation and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. Before joining Steers, Bruce enjoyed running marathons, running his last event in Stockholm, Sweden.
Allan joined Steers after he and Bruce Keating acquired Steers C.B. Limited and Stafford Agencies Limited in October 2006. Before joining Steers, Allan held management positions in health care, telecommunications, and oil and gas. Most notably he served as Director of Corporate Services with the City of Corner Brook. Prior to that, he held the positions of President/CEO and Chief Financial Officer with the Western Health Care Corporation. Allan has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and holds a Chartered Accountant designation. Allan is active with soccer, running, downhill skiing and playing guitar.
Bill joined Steers in February of 2009. Bill has a long history in wholesale distribution, having served previously as General Manager of T&M Winter Limited, General Manager of Sanitary Products, General Manager of Matchless Paints, and Vice-President, Sales, for Corporate Express Atlantic Canada. Bill recently completed his second sprint triathlon.
With more than 40 years in the industry, Frank is one of the most experienced flooring professionals in the province. Frank serves today as the General Manager of our flooring business in eastern Newfoundland. Prior to this role, he had been General Manager as well as part of the ownership group of Stafford Agencies from 1988 to 2006. Prior to this, Frank worked with T&M Winter Limited as Sales Manager for flooring products. When not selling flooring, Frank loves to play golf and drive his yellow Mustang convertible.
Carl joined Steers in March 2005 as General Manager of one of our predecessor companies, Steers C.B. Limited, with responsibility for the Home Furnishings, Flooring and HVPH businesses. In May 2009, Carl was appointed as Business Unit Manager, HVPH, and is leading our efforts to grow and develop our HVPH business across the Atlantic Provinces. Prior to Steers, Carl worked for many years in sales and distribution, with Royal Marketing, Sharpe-Valley Wholesalers, and Valley Distributors. Carl has a BBA, and an MBA in general management. In his spare time, Carl plays bass in a well known band in the Corner Brook area.
Ted joined Steers in April 2010, and manages our HVP branch location in Mount Pearl, serving customers throughout eastern Newfoundland. Prior to joining Steers, Ted worked as Manager of the Heating Division with Smith-Stockley where he was responsible for HVAC sales, customer service and inventory management. He previously worked with Irving Oil Limited for 8 years as Service Manager for all oil and propane installation across the province. Ted loves all sports, and particularly enjoys golf, bowling and his cherished Canadiens.
